Sure Start Children’s Centres are a ‘one-stop shop’ for children under five years old and their families, offering support, advice and help from friendly and highly skilled staff.

About Family Support
What is Family Support?
Family support is a service which offers support to pregnant women, and families with children under 5 years old who live within our local community.
We can offer this support on a one-to-one basis either within your own home, at the Children’s Centre itself or at a local venue suitable to yourself.
We understand that raising a family can be very hard work, and that sometimes everyone needs some extra support.
The Family Support Team can help you...
With breast feeding support;
Develop closer relationships with you and your child;
Manage your child’s behaviour;
Understand and develop your child’s learning;
Access group sessions and activities for you and your child;
Make healthy choices about eating, cooking and meals;
Keep your home safe;
If you feel lonely or isolated;
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse;
Signpost you to training and employment opportunities;
Access childcare, including nursery places for 2 year olds*
